So we’ve been aticipating the move for quite a while. A selected few of our royal family were chosen to move to the beautiful Western Cape: The Dad – Paddington (the tiny one that will be doing most of the work); The Moms – Jesse (the six-weeks-pregnant one), Mietsie (the loud one) and Hannah H (on heat aka the hot one) and Jozy’s two baby pups.
We had our bags packed and ready to go. I have to say that we were a little bit scared, but we were looking forward to our new five star accomodation (sun, sea and beaches).
To my surprise the flight went smoothly and the air hostesses treated us with lots of love. On recieving a complimentary toy I had a feeling that this was the right move.
We landed at Cape Town International Airport, 14 December 2011 at 4pm to start our new adventure.
After a week in Somerset West, where we (the select few) will be the NEW Bellechien, we are sleeping in our own spacious flat on beds that were specially made for us. We get to go inside of the house where we are groomed often and play with stuffed animals and other toys – FUN!!!
We now have 4 new friends: Onyx, Saartjie, Zorro and Lila. They have welcomed us into their home.
We look forward to the Christams celebrations in Somerset West!

Had  a really really bad tummy ache this week! After the umpteenth – pheeeew Ruby, OUTSIDE! OUTSIDE! I think my mum got the message and took me to the vet. (Its a good thing they love me so much cause even I could hardly stand my gassy smells!! )
I got THREE injections – OUCH !! It better work cause I’m not going through that again. The worst is my food got cut!– until the infections wear off! The vet actually told Mum – “dont let her convice you to give more even if she whines or throw her doggie eyes!!” (hmm how did he know I used that trick for more??)

Well this is going to be a rough week!!

I know that suitcase!!!! – its the one they used when they LEFT ME, yes LEFT ME, behind and disappeared for FIVE days!!! Aaaaagh, cannot believe they will do it again !!!!- How can they leave me and go ENJOY themselves somewhere WITHOUT ME>
Yes , its true , they did leave me with Anne, lovely human…………….
(shhh but in her home I kind of get away with even more than at my own place!)
Last time I found a tube of red glossy gel and it tasted like strawberries – I ate the whole thing – afterwards I found out it was a very expensive lip gloss – and you know what – she did not even bat an eyelid- simply said – “gosh lets hope you dont get a tummy ache.”

Well, maybe a break will not be such a bad idea after all — it means I also get a bit of a holiday, a strawberry break away hehe.

hmm yum Anne  did make me that little salmon wrapds with the liver in the middle, sigh – ok – deep breath – its ok – Im fine , they can leave me and go on their romantic breakaway!! Ill be just fine!!

Foodwise, we started off shaky. After receiving some dry pellets when I first arrived at my lovely new home – my mom finally ‘read’ my subtle hints – which said: “Are you mad, woman???? THIS muck is for mere ‘mortal’ dogs – I am ROYALTY and deserve that good stuff you cook!”. So now all is well – and I get served cordon bleu Chicken dish, with rice and carrots – Honestly, I would rather go without, than eat dog food! Maybe, just maybe if she dresses it up a bit, with a bit of gravy or small pieces of chicken or mince, THEN and only THEN, will I deign to eat it.

Now I have a really special mom – she is allowed to take me to work –Can you imagine that? I don’t have to stay at home waiting all those long hours for her to come home!

This is my  ‘special’ place, a basket right under her desk. The secret to all this is to be on my best behaviour at work!

boy … is this hard work. Chair legs never looked so chewable and my teeth are so itchy!!

But I am doing my best! Being this cute and cuddly helps A LOT. Every one that enters the office wants to touch me!!

I do hope dog owners know how long a day can be for an animal to stay at home and wait for their return.
Do they plan for their pet in advance – a play-date, a friend, a toy?

My favourite place in the world is my pink doggie bed – this is where all my teddy bears, and lots of toys lives too!

It is my very own space and if I get tired of all the running around in her garden with my friends this is where I come to wind down.

Mom said it is VERY important for a doggie to have its  own little corner – this is my safe place and no one is allowed in unless they have my permission.

As you can see when I do anything I do it full out – whether it is playing or sleeping. Here I am taking a nap in the way it should be done – all stretched out and dreaming of big bones and lots more toys!!

Pssssst – but secretly I think my most favourite sleeps are right in the big bed with my mom and dad – here is the evidence!! What do you think?

My bestest best friends are  Jasmine and Tiger Lily, big white and furry cuddle-some  lions. I love them to bits.
By the time I got the info on the age old feud between cats and dogs it was too late . Our friendships were solid and I was already lost in their dreamy green eyes. Our best time is spend in the garden playing with sticks and leaves.

Here I am playing with Jasmine – I chase her very fast but she doesn’t mind, sometimes she gives me a gentle smack!

We figured if Timone and Pumba can pull the bff thing off – we can sure do it too!!

For those of you that don’t know what bff stands for – its best friend forever!!

IMPORTANT TIP FOR ALL YORKIE OWNERS!!

I have been growing !! Yes its hardly noticable from your height, but I can tell cause I get weighed at the vet each week.  Because of my tiny size and  hair-do it might not be so obvious if  I don’t eat enough – or play too much, but weight can’t lie!! As it turned out I picked up weight from last week – just enough to keep everyone happy.
